At 3, Mr. Money scored a runaway victory in the $400,000 Graded Pat Day Mile Stakes at Churchill Downs by 5 ¼ lengths – beating Into Mischief’s MGSP Instagrand and Gr.1 winner Hog Creek Hustle. A month later, Mr. Money won the $150,000 Graded Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs by 6 ½ lengths, beating two-time Breeders’ Cup winner and five-time Gr.1 winner Knicks Go! The next month, he was entered in the $500,000 Graded Indiana Derby where he won by 2 ½ lengths and earned a triple digit Beyer.

Three weeks later, Mr. Money won the $500,000 Graded West Virginia Derby by a captivating 6 lengths! He also ran in the $1,000,000 Gr.1 Pennsylvania Derby, placing 2nd by a neck, and beating heavy hitters including Gr.1 winning millionaire Spun to Run, Eclipse Champion Older Dirt Male and multiple Gr.1 winner Improbable, and War Front’s War of Will – the multiple Gr.1 winner of the 2019 Preakness and the 2020 winner of the Gr.1 Maker’s Mark Mile Stakes. At 4, Mr. Money won the $100,000 Graded Ack Ack Stakes at Churchill Downs.

Overall, Mr. Money won 6 out 18 starts – five graded – while remaining in the money 50% of his races. At 2, he averaged $142,102 per start with a career average per start of $75,579 when he retired.

Mr. Money is by Goldencents – the son of the super sire Into Mischief. He is currently one of only two Goldencents sons standing at stud anywhere in the world. Goldencents earned more than $3 million and was on the board 14 of 18 starts – winning Gr.1 events including the Santa Anita Derby and the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile twice. He also won the Graded Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes, the Graded Sham Stakes, and the Graded Pat O’Brien Stakes.

Mr. Money is out of the Tiznow mare Plenty O’Toole. She has produced more than $1.5 million in progeny earnings with three winners from five starters. She is from the prolific family of Well Armed – Tiznow’s Gr.1 winning earner of more than $5 million.
